Resin Sand Casting
Resin sand casting is a commonly used casting process in which sand is bonded with resin and a curing agent to produce molds and cores. The process can achieve high-strength molds without the need for drying and is used for casting metal components.

The resin sand casting process is suitable for the production of medium to large castings in single-piece or small-batch quantities. Typical applications include machine tool beds, molds, housings, and engine blocks. In addition, some medium and large water pump components are also manufactured using this process.

Resin sand molds are strong, dimensionally accurate, and produce a good casting surface, making the process well suited to large, complex castings. The sand flows well, compacts easily, and hardens evenly, giving the mold high rigidity during pouring with no wall movement. Compared with ordinary clay sand casting, resin sand delivers greater dimensional stability and less distortion, with accuracy typically reaching CT8 to CT10.
